Picus Lite

New Version of the Sonic Tomograph

The PiCUS-Lite Sonic Tomograph requires only 4, 5 or 6 sensors, but still utilizes multiple sensor positions (typically 10 to 14) as transmitting and receiving points.

The only difference compared to the standard model is that data is recorded step by step rather than all at one time. The other major difference is that the Lite version is offered for a lower price!!

The new PiCUS electronic hammer is used for generating the sonic signals as well as for selecting the current sensor position.

Sonic data is recorded step by step. Blue circles represent sonic sensors; black dots represent sensor positions (nails). Each sensor (nail) position needs to be tapped on.
When each sensor position was used as tapping point the sensors are moved to the next position.
